Improve at Poker with GrinderSchool
If you remember my older entries, you’ll recall that I introduced a number of key poker tools that have the ability to help you get better at the game on money poker sites. I suggested that you should take advantage of a hand converter, always adhere to bankroll management, and be sure to keep a poker odds table open on your desktop. I also mentioned that it’s wise to take advantage of a few free poker videos because they’re a great way to learn some advanced strategies, plus they are free poker training so nothing comes out of your pocket. Eventually, however, you’ll have watched all the free videos online and you’ll wonder what your next move is. By now your bankroll should be growing, and it’s probably a good idea to put some of your profits to good use. Over the next couple months I will feature a number of the poker training sites that you are able to sign up for if you’ve learned to love videos.
The first training site I’ll look at is GrinderSchool as it caters to players at low stakes. A subscription starts at $10/month, and you receive access to 600+ online poker videos churned out by people that have the profits to demonstrate they beat the competition in US poker sites. They feature 7 videos every week, and while most of them pertain to No Limit Hold Em, usually 4 per month are videos for other games like Omaha or Razz.
Players that focus on No Limit Hold Em ring games on Tiger Gaming (or any other site) have a lot to gain from GrinderSchool. There are a lot of 6 max and full ring poker videos, and new players will have no trouble finding a few videos at their chosen low buy-in. Heads-up players and Limit players might need to wait a little bit longer to see more videos catering to their games. There are a few videos for Limit and heads-up, but perhaps not enough to make it worth it for people that frequently participate in these types of poker. The same can be said for people that are looking for help with Omaha or other less common types of poker like Draw.
Have you tried Rush Poker tournaments on your Fulltiltpoker download yet? Even if you don’t like cash games, GrinderSchool can still help you out. Tournament players also have a good selection of videos, and the instructors that made them have some impressive resumes. The videos show buy-ins from $2 to $55, and almost all of them are part of a 3 to 9 part series. Those that have been itching to get into a huge buy-in tournament can also watch some satellite videos.
If multi-table tournament poker isn’t your thing but you like single-table tournaments on a PokerStars download, I highly recommend GrinderSchool. You’ll find that a large percentage of the SNG videos were made by the site’s owner, but recently joining the team were a couple new respectable instructors. The buy-ins featured in these videos start as low as $1 and go up to $33, and both beginner and advanced concepts are covered.
GrinderSchool is the top choice for inexperienced players making their start at the best US poker sites. Because there is no sign up fee, the site is even more attractive to those without a lot of money to spare. It’s true that it’s not the best site for those that prefer the less popular types of poker, but No Limit Hold Em players will be very happy with their investment when they see the video selection at this training site.
